Ans. Sheikh Saadi was a great poet in Iran. He used to lead a very simple life. Once he was invited by the king of Iran to the royal Court of king Jalauddin Salute. On his way he took shelter for a night in the house of a noble man. As he was in simple dress he was not properly taken care of. The noble man took him for an ordinary man. A few days later, the great poet was returning home from the royal court. This time he was in a costly dress given by the king. At dusk he reached that noble man's house and wanted to pass the night there. This time the nobleman gave him a warm reception. He arranged a grand feast too, At night he sat to sup with the host. Sheikh Saadi, however, instead of taking the food, began to put them in his pockets. Being surprised, the nobleman respectfully asked him why he was doing so. Sheikh Saadi replied that he was doing the right thing because his dress deserves those rich dishes. The noble man understood his mistake and bent down with shame. He also begged pardon of his noble guest.

উঃ। শেখ সাদী ইরানের একজন মহান কবি ছিলেন। তিনি খুব সাধারণ জীবনযাপন করতেন। একবার তাকে ইরানের রাজা জালাউদ্দিন স্যালুটের রাজদরবারে আমন্ত্রণ জানান। পথিমধ্যে তিনি এক সম্ভ্রান্ত ব্যক্তির বাড়িতে রাতের জন্য আশ্রয় নেন। সাধারণ পোশাকে থাকায় তাকে ঠিকমতো দেখাশোনা করা হয়নি। অভিজাত ব্যক্তি তাকে একজন সাধারণ মানুষ হিসেবে নিয়েছিলেন। কয়েকদিন পর মহাকবি রাজদরবার থেকে বাড়ি ফিরছিলেন। এবার তিনি রাজার দেওয়া দামি পোশাকে। সন্ধ্যেবেলায় তিনি সেই মহীয়সী ব্যক্তির বাড়িতে পৌঁছেছিলেন এবং সেখানে রাত কাটাতে চেয়েছিলেন। এবার তাকে উষ্ণ সংবর্ধনা দিলেন অভিজাত। তিনি একটি জমকালো ভোজের আয়োজন করেছিলেন, রাতে তিনি মেজবানের সাথে খাবার খেতে বসেছিলেন। শেখ সাদী অবশ্য খাবার গ্রহণ না করে নিজের পকেটে রাখতে লাগলেন। আশ্চর্য হয়ে, সম্ভ্রান্ত ব্যক্তি তাকে সম্মানের সাথে জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন কেন তিনি এমন করছেন। শেখ সাদি উত্তর দিয়েছিলেন যে তিনি সঠিক কাজটি করছেন কারণ তার পোশাকটি সেই সমৃদ্ধ খাবারের যোগ্য। ভদ্রলোক তার ভুল বুঝতে পেরে লজ্জায় মাথা নিচু করলেন। তিনি তার সম্মানিত অতিথির কাছে ক্ষমাও চেয়েছিলেন।
