Slow and steady wins the race

There lived a hare and a tortoise long ago. The hare was quick and enjoyed boasting about how quickly he could run. The tortoise was slow and consistent. The hare teased the tortoise one day because he was slow. The tortoise said, "Let's race and see who goes first." The hare laughed, but then he accepted. During the race, the hare ran fast and soon was far ahead. He thought, “The tortoise is so slow, I’ll take a nap.” The tortoise kept going without stopping. Slowly, he passed the sleeping hare and reached the finish line. The hare woke up too late. The tortoise won. Slow and steady wins the race.

A hare and a tortoise lived a long time ago in a forest. The hare was very proud of his speed. He would tease the tortoise for being slow. The tortoise could no longer bear the teasing one day and challenged the hare to a race. The hare laughed but said yes. The race began. The hare ran very fast and was soon far ahead. He looked back and didn’t see the tortoise anywhere. He thought, “That slow tortoise will take forever. I’ll rest for a while.” So, he lay under a tree and fell asleep. Since the tortoise was moving slowly, he didn't halt. He passed over the sleeping hare and reached the finishing line. When Hare woke up, he ran with all his might as hard as he could, but to no avail. The tortoise was already on the finishing line. The moral: Slow and steady wins the race.

There was a fast hare and a slow hare-tortoise who lived in a green forest. The hare would be boastful of being able to run fast and would taunt the tortoise for being slow. The tortoise was not too wise but confident. One day, he said, "Let's run and see who gets to the finishing point first." The hare laughed loudly. “You can’t beat me! As soon as the race started, the hare ran very fast and left the tortoise far behind. After running for a while, the hare looked back and saw the tortoise far away.

He thought, “I have plenty of time. I’ll take a short nap.” He slept under a tree. The tortoise kept moving, consistently but never stopping. Step by step, he moved past the sleeping hare and went further. He finally reached the finishing line. The hare woke up and ran very quickly, but to no avail. The tortoise had already reached the finishing line. The tortoise was cheered by all. The hare realized that: Never underestimate people. Slow and steady wins the race.
